Orders

Can I get my order sooner?

Most of our products are prepared / produced fresh based on consolidated orders received from customers daily. We also order our meat and poultry products fresh from the abattoirs every day to prepare our customers’ orders. We inform our courier partners of order collections daily, so your order will be with you within a day of being prepared.

How is the price determined?

Since we order fresh meat and poultry from abattoirs, our purchase prices are determined by market rates. We do not deal in cheaper, inferior quality, frozen meat or chicken.

Can I cancel an order?

You can cancel an order without giving us a reason. Where you have ordered a significant or bulk quantity of a specific product (in excess of 10 kilograms), you will need to supply us with a reason for cancellation as we will have procured the necessary meat or chicken from the abattoirs and paid for it. In all cases you have to inform us before we have indicated that your order has already been shipped.

What is your minimum order quantity?

We do not have a minimum order quantity. We ask our customers to be mindful of the fact that perishable chilled products are shipped in validated KoolPak™ containers by refrigerated couriers. This means that the shipping cost can be relatively high if you only order single quantities of 2 or 3 items, since our courier partners have minimum delivery charges per shipments. The validated containers are also not cheap. We are not allowed to ship perishable food products with any courier either. Only those who guarantee to maintain the “cold chain” can be utilised.

Shipping

How will my products ship?

Chilled, perishable products are first of all heat or vacuum sealed to prolong shelf life. They are packed into validated KoolPak™ containers with frozen ice gel packs to maintain the required temperature. If your order contains non-perishable products too, these will be included in the same container. The containers fit into specially made cardboard boxes to protect them during shipping. Should your order contain non-perishable products only, you will be able to select the cheaper Pargo shipping option at checkout. Your products will be shipped in appropriate packaging to ensure you receive them in pristine condition.

Can you deliver my products if I am local?

It is possible for us to deliver your order locally, but there will be a minimum quantity in such cases. We ask that you contact us by phone first for such custom delivery requests.

Can I come pick up my products?

Yes, in-store pickup is available. We will contact you once your order is ready for collection.

Can you ship internationally?

No, we only ship within South Africa. Perishable products can currently only be shipped within Gauteng. Non-perishable products can be shipped nation wide.

Payment

How much do I have to pay for my order?

The total order cost will be displayed in your basket, based on the specific shipment option you choose. The total order amount is payable before we process an order.

What payment methods / options are accepted?

We accept debit and credit cards as well as EFT payments.

How do I go about making payment?

We have a selection of 3 major payment gateways available to customers. Netcash & PayFast are suitable for both card and EFT payments, while Ozow is suitable for EFT payments. The payment gateway is your choice at the end of the day based on your payment method or past experience with payment providers, so you are welcome to use the provider of choice.

Returns

If I don't like my products, can I return them?

We only accept returns of non-perishable products in their original, unopened packaging. The nature of chilled perishable products means we cannot accept responsibility for maintaining the cold chain after you have received the products. However, should you have a specific problem with a product we ask that you phone us upon receipt of the goods. Please also refer to our detailed Refunds & Returns policy.
